2011-12 Extended Day Programs: Cider Mill After School 2:15-6:30 p.m.

 

The Cider Mill After School Extended Day Program offers families an on-site after school program with a flexible pick-up time, up until 6:30 p.m.  Students participate in supervised activities including organized exercise and recreation time, guided homework time, mentoring and teambuilding opportunities, and arts & crafts activities in a safe, fun and nurturing environment.

 

Registered students have the advantage of remaining at Cider Mill School at the end of  the day, enjoying the comfort of the school facilities including gymnasium, playground and computer lab. The program is designed to round out the school day and provide a relaxed, non-competitive environment for social interaction.

 

 

The daily schedule might include:

  • Soccer, Basketball, Kickball and/or other Open Gym Activities
  • Wii Sports and Dance
  • Indoor or Outdoor Free Play
  • Guided Homework Time (option for fee based tutoring)
  • Scheduled Reading Time
  • Age Appropriate Games and Puzzles
  • Computer Use for Homework and Educational Purposes

 

SUPPLEMENTAL DAY OPTION

The Cider Mill After School Extended Day Program provides ultimate flexibility for families looking to schedule music lessons with the Cider Mill Conservatory of Music or add Enrichment classes by offering on-site childcare before or after their pre-arranged lesson or activity.  Parents can count on their child arriving on-time to their lesson or activity without having to rush to meet a scheduled drop-off or pick up.  Families can contract for a reduced "Supplemental Day" fee of $20 on days when another class is scheduled.  This option allows students to "hang out" until their scheduled time, then be a pick-up at the parent's convenience.
