Description
“Space Explorers with Mr. Ley” is the ultimate STEAM camp for children who love space. Campers will learn about space and space exploration as they design, build, code and create. Campers will have a blast working together to solve problems as they engage in exciting space challenges including:
- Building and launching air pressure & rubber band powered model rockets and space shuttles.
- Creating our own space suits, rocket ships, planets and comets out of recyclables.
- Coding programmable drones and robots such as Dash and Ozobot to navigate the martian terrain as space rovers.
- Virtually exploring the International Space Station & building space shuttles through Minecraft Education Edition.
- Coding a mars rover through nasa’s educational coding apps.
- Constructing moon bases with fort building kits.
- Digging through space rocks to discover hidden artifacts inside.
- Learning about space exploration through books and videos.
- Exploring constellations through an inflatable planetarium.Learning how to control a spaceship through space simulator computer games.
- And much more!
**All materials are included in the class fee.** Please bring recyclables to build with on the first day.
