Cooking with Fork, Knife, Spoon CM06

Students will exercise their creativity, work on their teambuilding skills, learn to read a recipe, improve math skills, and recognize, the importance of fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. Every other week the students will learn different cooking skills and terms, such as julienne, mince, chop, caramelizing, roasting etc. The following week the students will be asked to apply those skills with a box of random ingredients in a “Chopped” style competition. Little chefs will work in a team and be “judged” on taste, creativity, and presentation of both a savory and sweet dish.

$15 materials fee payable to instructor at the first class.

Class will not be held on Thursday, April 18.
