Description

Students must attend the two classes on Tuesday, July 14 & Wednesday, July 15 from 9am - 12:30 pm, and be 11 years old to receive their Red Cross Certification Card. Students will not be certified if they arrive late or leave early.
This course covers what a babysitter needs to know and what every parent expects from a responsible caregiver. Students learn the responsibilities of a babysitter, the stages of child development, child care, activities for children, accident prevention and basic first aid. This program is designed for 11 to 15-year old. The American Red Cross Babysitter Training class can help you interview for a babysitting job, choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games, know what to do in an emergency, learn diapering and feeding techniques, handle bedtime issues, learn tips for having a safe babysitting experience and more!
Please bring a nut free snack and a water bottle each day.
