George Lesiw Ukulele: Group Beginner
Recognized as one of the most prolific and versatile jazz performers on the Connecticut music scene, guitarist George Lesiw has made his surge a topic of conversation and interest amongst the Northeast audience. George combines the true improvisational essence and language of jazz, the daring electricity of rock-fusion and the gritty fire of blues.
He performs in venues across the Northeast and the US, as well as recording, producing, composing, arranging and orchestrating. George is a touring guitarist with Eight to the Bar, voted "Best Musical Band" by Connecticut Magazine in 2024.
George believes each student is on his or her own musical journey, whether they want to become professionals and make a living at it or just want music to enrich their life.
His own journey has brought him to this point with over 25 years of intensive study and thorough practice, both in classrooms and with practical experience. In May of 2024, George received his Master of Arts in Teaching, Music Education from Sacred Heart University.
As a music educator, he brings a strong and refined ability to connect with students, inspire them, hone their specific needs and goals and work with them to expand their knowledge, polish their technique and progress as musicians.
By creatively engaging and challenging students, he hopes they will leave the classroom with a deeper connection and appreciation for music. Throughout his years of teaching, it has been very rewarding to see students’ progress and musical growth; some of which have gone on to become recording artist and professionals in the music industry.
He is a favorite among students, teaching all types of guitar, ukulele, bass, and banjo.
