Description
Students must attend the two classes on Saturday, March 22 & 29 from 9am - 12:30 pm, and be 11 years old to receive their Red Cross Certification Card. Students will not be certified if they arrive late or leave early.
What you need to know and what every parent wants in a responsible babysitter. Students entering grades 6-12 will learn the responsibilities of a babysitter, the stages of child development, child care, activities for children, accident prevention and basic first aid. The American Red Cross babysitter training class can help you interview for a babysitting job, choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games, know what to do in an emergency, learn diapering and feeding techniques, handle bedtime issues, learn tips for having a safe babysitting experience and more! This program is designed for 11 to 15-year olds.
Our instructor, Velvet Yusko has been a Red Cross Health & Safety Instructor for several years.
Please bring a water bottle and a nut-free snack to class.
Included in the class fee, each student will receive an American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Participant Set and a Certification Card.
