Description
Week 2: Building Big & Experimenting with Nature! (Each week offers unique experiences, so come join us for both sessions!)
Week 2 of STEAM camp is all about designing, experimenting, and getting creative with the world around us! With Mrs. Ryan and Mr. Greasley, students will create architectural designs out of cardboard using Make-Do, harness the power of the sun through solar experiments by building your own solar oven, and explore exciting chemical reactions by creating slime, human sized bubbles, and homemade rock candy. The group will also tackle water-based design challenges using STEM Waterway materials, water balloon launchers, and more! Whether you’re constructing towering structures, testing solar energy, mixing up cool reactions, or engineering ways to move water, every day will bring a new, hands-on adventure!
Please bring a bagged, nut-free lunch, as well as snacks, beverages, & water bottle each day. Be sure to wear sunscreen as some activities will occur outdoors (Weather permitting).
