Olga Kalinina received her Bachelors Degree in both Piano and Music Theory from the Ul'yanovsk Music College and her Masters Degree in Musicology from Saratov State Conservatory. She moved to the United States in 1995 and has over 35 years experience teaching piano both in Russia and in the United States.
Ms. Kalinina has been a member of the Wilton Conservatory of Music faculty since 2007. Her goal as a teacher is to bring out each student’s potential to the highest artistic level, personalizing lessons to the individual goals of each student. She emphasizes a strong foundation of technique and intervallic reading skills for beginners. Works on developing artistic interpretation according to various musical styles for intermediate students, and assists advanced students in expanding their repertoire.
Ms. Kalinina is a member of the Schubert Club, The Wednesday Afternoon Musical Club as well as an active chamber musician and duo piano performer. As a part of "Hot to Trot Trio" Olga has performed at the Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport, WPKN's Sunday Brunch Concerts, The Richter Center for the Performing Arts in Danbury and numerous Libraries and Senior Centers. She also currently is an organist at the First Church of Christ Scientist in Westport, CT.
