Richard "Skip" Ploss OnAir!MD17

Skip, known at Miller-Driscoll School as Mr. Skip, is in his 20th year as a special education paraprofessional at Wilton Public Schools. Skip is a tech person having survived two eLearning dot coms as an interface designer, customer experience director, content creator, and web designer. He’s also been involved in community theater for 35 years in lower Fairfield County.

He’s worked at the Wilton Playshop, Westport Community Theater, Musicals at Richter, and Town Players of New Canaan. He’s been an actor, set designer, director, board member, and president (of The Wilton Playshop). He has directed, written, designed, crewed, and/or appeared in productions all over Fairfield County. Skip currently celebrating his 71st production and 51st as Director. He’s also been the fall director at Wilton Children’s Theater for 17 years and Summerstage Jr. director for 14 years which he helped create in 2010. He also is the author/illustrator of seven books for students, he has created over 100 coloring sheets used by teachers around the building and his artwork is all over Miller-Driscoll.

In 2016 he co-founded MDTV and served as co-advisor for 8 seasons stepping away for the ninth season where he was replaced by Tim Ley. Skip is thrilled to have returned to MDTV for the 10th season with Mr. Ley and the revival and reinvention of the MDTV after-school program.
