Caryn Purcell Tennis
Caryn is an active member of the Wilton Y paddle community and a FCWPTL player. She has played and coached competitive sports for years, including rowing, ice hockey, and racquet sports. Her athletic achievements include national titles in multiple sports. Over the years as a high school, college and USTA tennis player, she came to appreciate how sports can teach us lifelong lessons of teamwork, fitness and friendships. Some of her most enjoyable experiences as an athlete have been as an instructor and mentor to children and juniors who are learning and developing new skills while having fun. She most recently taught tennis to Cider Mill and Middlebrook students through the Wilton Continuing Education after school enrichment program.
Caryn is currently training under Ritush Venugopal, PPTA P1, with the goal of earning her PPTR certification from the APTA.
Caryn is excited about the great new paddle opportunities available to students at the Y and she’s looking forward to lots of outdoor action on the courts.
