Kara has been the lead facilitator of Go Zen Social Emotional learning curriculum throughout the Wilton Community for past four years running programing in both Cider Mill and Miller Driscoll Schools. She is excited to expand programming into Middlebrook School.

Kara earned her Master's degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Fordham University and has worked in a variety of school and mental health agency settings with children, adolescents and families providing individual, group, prevention and intervention counseling services throughout New York and Connecticut over the past 15 years.

Her work has spanned multiple platforms serving diverse populations as both an educator and counselor. She has designed and implemented programs for social emotional learning and wellness including anxiety and stress management, conflict resolution and growth mindset. She piloted the SOS (Socialization in Our schools) curriculum and peer mentoring program developed by Dr. Michelle A Dunn for Special Education and section 504 families.
