A native of China, Ms. Brennan aims to bring both her native tongue and China’s culture to her family and beyond. After relocating to the United States in 2004, Brennan noticed a demand for Mandarin Chinese, due in part to the presence of families with parents or adopted children of Chinese origin. Her children have also fueled her passion to teach Mandarin and her country’s traditions. And so, the Happy Panda Mandarin School was born.
Mrs. Brennan grew up in Shanghai, where she was a national fencing champion at age twelve. After she graduated college in China, she moved to United States. She studied English As Second Language and Business Management in San Mateo College, California and had a prior career in real estate management. She launched the home-based Happy Panda Mandarin School in June 2010 and also teaches at Tutor Time Preschool in Norwalk, CT and Pumpkin Preschool in Westport, CT. She lives with her husband and three children in Weston, CT.
