Rob Adams Sports BroadcastingCM17
Rob Adams is the Sports Director for WGCH (Greenwich, CT - the flagship of the Business Talk Radio Network® and Lifestyle Talk Radio Network®). Starting as a DJ at Majic 105 in Patterson, NY in 1990, Rob immediately combined his passions for music and sports into a top-rated overnight program, and served as the stations weekend sports anchor. These same skills were used at WREF in Ridgefield, CT where Rob showed his smarts for the business of radio and sports.
Rob joined WGCH (and their former sister station, WVIP) in 1997, where he is best-known for his sports play-by-play of high school football, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, and lacrosse, most notably as the "voice" of the Greenwich Cardinals. He also called games on WGCH for baseball's Bridgeport Bluefish (Independent Atlantic League) and the national Babe Ruth World Series. He has been WGCH's "go-to" for sports as a reporter, news anchor, and talk show host, among many other roles. In additional, Rob has called play-by-play for the Hudson Valley Renegades (Short-season Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) and basketball for Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.
Rob has hosted several talk shows, including his eponymous general show, and both national and local versions of "Tee Time" (golf) and "The Press Box" (all sports).
Rob lives in Mahopac, NY with his son Sean.
