Description

An Intermediate student requires demonstrated ability to perform front tumbling skills (front handspring, fly spring) and/or back tumbling skills (roundoff into back handspring) and proficiency on beam, floor or vault. Students must have either beam or bar proficiency to be considered an intermediate level.
 
Floor Exercise: Student will learn front sommi and/or back sommi, pirouettes and higher level jumps and turns.
 
Beam: Student will learn cartwheel and perform higher level jumps including split jump, jump 3/4 and beam dismount.
 
Uneven Bars:  Students continue kip sequence (low and high bar), new skills learned include clear hip circle and flyaways.
 
Students in grade 6 will be given the opportunity to begin vault.
 
Attire for Classes:  Leotard preferred, or shorts and a tucked in T-shirt or tank top. Please pull hair back with ponytail.

Summer Session: Begins July 8 and ends August 6.
